The internal rules of "The Typewriter Museum" association's exhibition hall.

“The Typewriter Museum” Association’s exhibiton hall is a space where “The Typewriter Museum” association’s exhibitions are happening and which “The Typewriter Museum” association ir renting as a part of an agreement between the “Attīstībai un Nākotnei” association and Realto LLC.

Main goal of the exhibition– to inform the society about the culural and historical heritage of typewriting, to present an opportunity to get to know typewriters in an interactive and an interesting way for youger generations.

1. Overall rules

1.1. The purpose of the existing regulations is to inform visitors and employees of the exhibition hall (hereinafter – the exhibition) of “The Typewriter Museum” Association (hereinafter – the Association) about the conditions that must be observed when being in the exhibition premises. These rules are intended to preserve the exhibits, equipment and other inventory at the exhibition, to observe the rules of public order, as well as to ensure a pleasant experience of visiting the exhibition. 1.2. The employees of the exhibition have the right, as well as the obligation to provide informational assistance to the visitors of the exhibition about the existing rules, to perform actions aimed at compliance with the rules, as well as to inform the visitors of the exhibitions about the violation of the rules.

2. Accessibility of the exhibition

2.1. The exhibition is open to visitors only during times that are announced beforehand of under a special agreement with the Association. The Association announces the opporunities to visit the exhibition on it’s social media accounts on Instagram (https://instagram.com/typewriter.museum) and Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/typewriter.museum/), as well as on it’s homepage (https://typewriter.museum/) and in the Kultūras Kalendārs event calendar system (https://kulturaskalendars.lv/).

2.2. In the exhibition hall, it is possible to move with baby carriages in places where it would not interfere with exhibits, furniture and other inventory.

2.3. Wheelchair access is allowed at the exhibition hall.

2.4. The exhibition could also be closed to visitors during previously announced availability times, if:

  • any technical problems are detected;
  • the personnel of the exhibition hall has gotten sick
  • a break time is announced in advance;
  • a danger to visitors and/or exhibits is detected.

3. For the conduct of visitors

3.1. It is prohibited to:

  • enter with weapons of any kind;
  • enter with flammable objects or solutions;
  • enter with explosive materials;
  • touch exhibits that are not intended for interactive events and are not marked accordingly;
  • touch display cases, as well as any surfaces that are made of glass;
  • place any kinds of advertising, conduct any polling actions that are not associated with “The Typewriter Museum” Association, “Attīstībai un Nākotnei” Association or Realto LLC., as well as to conuct any promotions without an approval from the Association;
  • touch fire extinguishing equipment without a reason;
  • take any food or drinks that produce a strong smell inside;
  • eat and drink while close to the exhibits, as well as while performing interactive actions with the exhibits;
  • perform urination and defecation acts;
  • engage in highly intimate activities;
  • bring wet umbrellas inside the Exhibition;
  • bring any equipment that uses a remote controller- drones, car, plane or helicopter models, etc.;
  • feed infants;
  • damage walls and decorative elements of premises;
  • damage the flooring;

3.2. Adults that are located inside the Exhibition with their children have an obligation to take care of their behavior- they should not be allowed to damage the exhibits, stand on the furnishings, make loud sounds, as well as damage the exhibits that are placed for purposes of interactivity.

3.3. It is allowed to enter the Exhibition with dogs and take them with you, however it is important to look after the action of the pet, so that it wouldn’t damage the exhibits, furniture and other inventory.

4. Photography and filming

4.1. Amateur photography and amateur filming are allowed in the exhibition premises without prior approval, however, it must be ensured that the photography and filming does not create any kind of problems for other visitors and that the other rules of this document are observed.

4.2. Professional photography and filming are also allowed in the exhibition premises, however, the exhibition staff must be notified and the performance should be coordinated with the Association before performing the described activities. In the event that the recorded material will be placed on social networks (other than Facebook and Instagram), in advertisements or in any print production, it must be clearly noted that the material is connected with the Association. If the material is placed on Facebook or Instagram social networks, the author is obliged to tag the Association’s social network account (@typewriter.museum) or use the “Collab” function (by coordinating the content of the post beforehand).

5. The security of the exhibits and other inventory.

5.1. In case if a visitor notices any sort of damage of the exhibit or other inventory during their visit, visitor should immediately let the Exhibition employee know about it.
