🌝 Very soon, on the 18th of May, from 18:00 to 24:00 at Viskaļu iela 36a in Riga, typewriters will be waiting for you during the Museum Nights event! At the new place Viskaļi Institute of Design for Quality of Life, at the Čiekurkalns district of Riga. Visitors will be able to take a look at various historical typewriters, watching their development through 20th century, seeing how the design styles and mechanics changed over time. You will also be able to learn more about the accessories and other artifacts from the typewriter world that helped this mysterious device work throughout the typewriter century.
😀 Of course, every visitor will also have an opportunity to try out writing something with a help of a typewriter- whole 6 typewriters in working orderwith fresh ink and papers that will work as a guest book for our visitors. You will also be able to prepare a postcard of a special design with the help of a typewriter for a donation.
🍪 For a donation, there also will be an opportunity to get a coffee, cocoa drink or a tea with some typewriter-shaped cookies (gluten-free option will also be available).

- by car: write “The Typewriter Museum” Google Maps and follow the directions;
- 9th bus route:
- from the city centre – “Krustabaznīcas iela” bus stop;
- from Mežaparks – “Krustabaznīcas iela” bus stop;
- Take note! When looking at the bus schedule, make sure that you have chosen the non-working days tab!
🪙 The entrance to the event is free of charge.
💕 The event is happening with collaboration with FREE RIGA organization and Latvian National Library.
🎦 During the event filming may happen for the purposes of publicity. Surveillance will also happen with a goal of preventing criminal actions connected with the protection of property.
